ABOUT NOT JUST COFFEE:
Tucked down Perry Lane at 264 Oxford St in the heart of Paddington is Not Just Coffee, a sensational hidden cafe famous for it's stunning coffee, creative menu, and dog-friendliness! This is a place that takes deep pride in their coffee, using Di Lorenzo beans and making every strong, deep-flavoured cup to perfection. Here's how Not Just Coffee got started, right from the mouths of the owners, Kit and Yuen:
"It started out as just talk. After all, what can a biochemist and a pharmacist do in the food world? Well, after talking for years, and after lots of encouragement from family and friends, now is the time to act on it all. It all started in a small Midwestern city called Madison. In the dorms during uni. Our chef, Kit, started feeding her friends, and her place became the place to be when one needed a bite. Everyone asked why she didn't sell her baked goods - all that talk was brushed away. After all, it was way beyond what we could do. That wasn't what our degrees prepared us to do.
We moved from one continent to another. Time for a change. A big one. Kit got more involved in the food industry. Her passion grew. Eventually she gravitated towards coffee-making. Slowly, it all started coming together. Now is the time to bring to you the goodness from Kit's creations.
Come visit us at our humble little spot. Our goal is to share with you the awesome fare that passion creates. Our menu is ever-changing; there is still the scientist in us, to experiment. Our selection is created from the finest, freshest ingredients that will seduce your taste buds, leaving you longing for more. We are also huge supporters of the arts community and we appreciate the diverse creative artists out there. We display artwork and photography pieces from talented artists, and if you like it, bring it home. All proceeds from artwork sold goes directly to the artists, 100%. We will also work to bring in acoustic live music, who doesn't enjoy simple acoustics? Come bask in the sun at our beautiful courtyard, or relax on our lounge in the little room upstairs. We are not just a coffee place. We want to bring friends and family together - that is, after all, the point of life."
