Michael Christopher Carter's book is a novella and I read it in one sitting, at night to add to the atmosphere of horror and thrills. It's a light horror, we might say, and it's absolutely thrilling and engrossing, perfectly taut and compact with a conclusion that is impossible to predict. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm more than willing to have more of the same thing.

This is quite different from what I usually read, which normally runs to serial killers and comedic private investigators. It had a surprising and very satisfying ending. I enjoyed the British words and phrasing. The writing was very professional, I didn’t notice any typos or misspellings, which seem to prevail in so many ebooks. I would be happy to read more of Mr. Carter’s work.

I thought this was a nice take on a character being a psychic. However, it was different and a bit entertaining trying to figure out how Claire and Angharad connected within the story. The story did not really pull me in as I expected. I can only imagine how Angharad felt being called into the light even though she may or may not be dead.
