About
Our Mission
To save companion animals from unnecessary euthanasia through community education, fostering, de-sexing and placing them in suitable homes.
Our Vision
An end to the over-population of pets in Australia Zero euthanasia of rehomable pets A good quality of life for all companion animals
About SAFE:
SAFE has set up a network of temporary carers who open their homes to abandoned animals whilst permanent homes are sought. SAFE is proactive in helping to bring about positive change in the areas which cause so many unwanted, abandoned and neglected animals, and strongly supports and promotes desexing. Through positive change, the primary goal for SAFE is to make a difference in the quality of life for companion animals and to promote their immense value to humans.
We Need Your Help:
SAFE relies on the generosity of the community to operate our service. If you would like to become a Foster Carer, Volunteer, help us financially, or donate pet supplies, please contact us or visit our website for more details.
SAFE Pets can Fly!:
Thanks to our kind sponsor Qantas Freight, we can fly our animals most places in Australia at reduced rates. Please enquire about an animal for more details and don't forget to to explore our other SAFE locations to find your next best friend.
Please visit www.safe.asn.au to view all the pets we have available for adoption.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
