Visit the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Observatory and Australian Museum for FREE on the last weekend in June.
At both the Powerhouse Museum and Sydney Observatory, be one of the first to help us create Tanabat Star Village, a collaborative community art installation by ArtsPeople and Slow Art Collective celebrating the Japanese fable of the night sky. Weave, fold, write, listen, imagine and create a new world!
Plus explore the Powerhouse Museum’s Space and Transport exhibitions, see NSW’s very first locomotive and our Mars rovers, challenge Baxter the robot to tic-tac-toe or pop into to see The Wiggles exhibition. If fashion is your focus you can also see our new exhibition, Isabella Blow: A Fashionable Life for free on this weekend only. Featuring looks from Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, Hussein Chalayan, Julien Macdonald and more, the private collection of late fashion visionary Isabella Blow will be on display for a strictly limited exclusive season at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney.
Book for free telescope tours at Sydney Observatory, dress up like an astronaut and explore the historic site of Sydney’s oldest observatory.
