Adelaide rail commuters will be offered free travel on Thursday next week, the day after a stoppage will affect some day-time services.
South Australian Transport Minister Stephen Mulligan said free train services on September 15 would be some compensation for recent transport disruption.
A day earlier, train services will halt by 10:00am on Wednesday September 14 and start returning after 2:00pm as many drivers and other rail staff attend a stop-work meeting about the progress of their enterprise bargaining negotiations.

"Importantly, peak services will not be disrupted," Mr Mullighan said of next week's planned stoppage.
"Contingencies are currently being planned regarding substitute buses and further information will be provided in coming days."
