Trees are one of our most important natural assets and Inner West Council are committed to maintaining and increasing our urban canopy with new tree plantings. Council is giving away free trees to encourage residents to help increase the urban forest and to create a greener future. Come along and chat to our staff for tips and advice on how to plant and care for your new tree. See our website for more info.
The 2018 free tree giveaway will be taking place on National Tree Day, 29 July at the Rozelle Bay Community Nursery, 22 Wisdom Street, Annandale from 10am to 1pm.
Terms and conditions
There will be 1 tree per household.
To verify that you are an Inner West Council resident, you will be asked on the day to provide proof of address in the form of a Council rates notice or driver's licence. So please do not forget to bring one of these!
Residents must obtain the necessary approvals for selecting the trees and the planting locations within the property boundary. We suggest you investigate where best to plant the tree to minimise any risks to property or people.
Inner West Council makes its best endeavours to provide a healthy tree with average growth height information, but makes no warranties concerning the tree.
