When Is Amazon Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. In practice Amazon Australia starts dropping deals a week or more earlier — an “early access” or “Black Friday week” that runs straight through to Cyber Monday. Unlike Prime Day, you don’t need a Prime membership to shop the Black Friday sale.
Insider note: the deepest deals often appear in the first hours of the early-access window and again on Cyber Monday for tech — not always on Black Friday itself. Check across the whole four-day stretch.
Best Categories on Amazon Black Friday
| Category | Why Black Friday Wins | Browse Daily |
|---|---|---|
| Electronics & Tech | TVs, headphones, laptops at year-low prices | Electronics |
| Amazon Devices | Kindle, Echo, Fire TV match Prime Day lows | Electronics |
| Home & Kitchen | Appliances and gadgets — great gift territory | Home |
| Beauty & Fragrance | Gift sets and premium brands at biggest cuts | Beauty |
| Toys & Gifts | Pre-Christmas stock-up while prices are lowest | All deals |
Black Friday is the one event where almost every category discounts at once — ideal for Christmas shopping.
Black Friday vs Boxing Day: Buy or Wait?
Buy on Black Friday
Tech, Amazon devices, and anything you want in time for Christmas. Stock is freshest now and the popular items sell out before Boxing Day. The deepest tech discounts of the year typically land here or on Cyber Monday.
Wait for Boxing Day
Clearance and end-of-line stock, fashion, and anything not urgent. Retailers clear leftover inventory on 26 December — great if you don’t mind a narrower selection and you’re not buying a gift.
The rule of thumb: if it’s a gift or a hot tech item, buy it on Black Friday. If it’s for you and you can wait, compare against Boxing Day. For the in-between days, our 50%+ off feed runs all year.
Your Black Friday Game Plan
Wishlist & Price Check Early
Add your targets to a wishlist and record their normal prices on Keepa now. When the “deal” lands, you’ll know in one glance whether it’s genuine.
Stack Cashback
Cashback rates often spike during Black Friday week. Click through ShopBack or Cashrewards before buying — see our cashback apps guide.
Compare Retailers
JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, The Good Guys and Catch all run rival Black Friday sales. Amazon isn’t automatically cheapest — cross-check the big-ticket items.
Act Early on Tech
The best electronics deals are capped in quantity and vanish fast. If a wishlist item appears at a genuine low, don’t “think about it” — it won’t be there later.
Spot the Fake Black Friday “Bargains”
Black Friday is peak season for inflated “was” prices. Three quick checks keep you honest:
Price history first — Keepa or CamelCamelCamel shows if the RRP was inflated just before the sale.
Ignore the badge size — a giant “-60%” on a no-name brand means less than a modest discount on something you actually trust.
